    November 2 - Spiritual Companions training orientation

                          If you are interested in a training program helping you to be an "attentive

                          presence" with others, and to consider a possible ministry of spiritual

                          direction then please join us at 5 p.m. for dessert and conversation.

    November 5, 12, 19 - Reading Groups continue with David Benner's

                        "Desiring God's Will" - 2 group options:  Wednesdays at noon (at Peninsula

                         Baptist Church - 6127 38th Ave. NW) or Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. (at

                         Harbor Covenant Church - 5601 Gustafson Drive NW)

                        Facilitated by John Kiemele, PhD - Participants provide their own reading

                        materials. 

    November 11 - Selah Prayers

                            A contemplative prayer service inviting you to pause with Taize music,

                            scripture readings, prayer and quiet.

                            7 p.m. @ Harbor Covenant Church, Gig Harbor, WA.  All are welcome

    November 13 - "Day of Enrichment" for Area Pastors and Staff at the YMCA

                            In cooperation with the Gig Harbor Family YMCA

                            Features Pastor David Johnson speaking on "Living sabbath as

                            a shepherd of the flock," and Cherlyn Johnson, a concert violinist,

                            creating a sabbath experience, followed by lunch and fitness

                            opportunities.  No fees. Must pre-register. "Contact Us" to register.

    November 25 - Selah Prayers

                            A contemplative prayer service inviting you to pause with Taize music,

                            scripture readings and quiet.

                            7 p.m. @ Peninsula Baptist Church, Gig Harbor, WA. All are welcome

    There will be no scheduled opportunities at the Selah Center during the month of December.  Please consider participating in the various Advent and Christmas opportunities available throughout your community.

    January 10 - Seminar  - "Spirituality and Soul Care" with John Kiemele, PhD.

                                         9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Harbor Covenant Church

                                         This seminar is hosted in cooperation with the

Basically, contemplative living is being attentive to God in the present moments of your life.

Inviting God's vibrant presence to be the resting place of my 'being' out of which my ordninary 'relating' and 'doing' emerges.
